KING. 1ST. ONLY. 8.29.58

Happy Birthday to the BEST TO EVER DO IT.

Long Live The KING.

Smile 4 Me Now.

2pac said "There's gon' be some stuff you gon' see that's gon' make it hard to smile in the future. But through whatever you see, through all the rain and the pain, you gotta keep your sense of humor. You gotta be able to smile through all this bullshit." Remember that.

Can You Imagine?

SHADE SHEIST (SHEIST.. SHEIST.. SHEIST..)

Now take a look at my life,
I'ma break it down how I got to be Shade Sheist
Bad Boy now, used to play the nice guy
Tried to blackball a n*gga, laugh at yall, nice try
Remember me, Mr Julio G?
Bustin' rhymes inside ya studio in front of Eazy-E
But now that's history and I must say
Imagine if I would've signed to Aftermath when I met Dre
There would be no he-say she-say
No palms greased, wouldn't have to pay a DJ
Imagine if I never toured the World,
That's like Ice Cube never sportin' a curl
I smoke w**d to get me higher than the cosmos
Imagine no Shade, no Quik, no John Doe
No Damizza, can't a nigga
Bend a corner like Beckham and still have another hit record
But when I see those people..

Ride That Muthafu*ka All The Way Out!!

If you are a musician and I've ever consulted you, an upstart whom asked me for advice, or just found yourself engaged in a detailed conversation with me about the MusiC Biz.. then you've heard me mention "The Wave" on many occasions. Everyone gets one, just some are bigger than others. Some don't see theirs coming and miss it. Others see it, get on it and fall off. A few even jump right off of their boards in a response to the pressure of riding it out. However, I give the same advice everytime and will continue..

Ride That Muthafu*ka All The Way Out!

There are a few selects reasons I say this.. 1.) You don't even know if you will survive the wave, some of the joy is finding out. 2.) If you do survive the wave, who's to say you will obtain another to ride? (you know, that whole "live for the day" ideology.) Now we are all guilty of not being responsible wave-riders, yes, even myself. But I've been blessed with more than one wave, which leads me to believe another likely is on the horizon. When it does come (not IF) I'm on that b*tch like homeboy in the above posted video!!

Tats On My Feet.

We (MTV) Jammin.

MTV just Jammed this, so of course I had to post. LoL. Not that yall haven't watched it almost 200K times on YouTube (if you only count the version on my channel.) This is one of the many reasons I can get over Cali's unpredictable heat and actually enjoy the Summer season. It's hard 2 forget a classic, apparently. Get Well NATE.

Relative (Self)Quote: "Now you might catch Sheist gettin bent on every Coast, still the ***** with the Heat, gettin rid of every Coat."

"Get Down.. or Lay Down."

So we all know one.. or two.. or many. They are the lay-downers, the individuals you know in life who will hype themselves heavy until it's time to get under the lights.. and then just as fast, *Pow!* i mean.. *tap* they are laying down in a fetal position playing a better role than Denzel on "Training Day." I watched this video and it immediately made me think of all the folx I've ever seen pull this trick out of their faded fitted. This is no Ali Phantom Punch, yall.

Relative (Self)Quote: "And ****** don't get it, but be careful what you ask for you just might Get It."

It's Mine.. But We Can Share It.

After I was introduced to West Coast 'Gangsta Rap' at about age 8 or 9 I really didn't care to hear much of anything else. Especially nothing from the East, it was just way too wordy and the beats were too generic for my young taste. Was I even old enough to have taste yet? LoL.. Long story shortened, my best friend introduced me to Jay-Z through "In My Lifetime Vol.1" and this particular song sold me on the man. I mean anyone smart enough to fu*k with the legend Teddy Riley has to know what they're doing right? Haha.

Relative Quote: "I love the new New York anthem, I fux with Jay..... But now it's time for mine." --Kurupt

Space Shuttle Level.

Relative Quote: "So in summation I don't know who you racing
I'm already at the finish line with the flag waving." --Jay-Z

If you know me, you know what I'm trying to say here.

I miss my Brat. West reminded me of this record I hadn't heard since I was in my teens and I been bangin' it all morning. Damn, she sounds like she lives around the corner on this one right here.. lol. Thinking of: Brat, Mariah and Myself in the studio. Thinking about: "California (Remix)" Shade Sheist with Da Brat and Damizza. I feel some Kriss Kross coming on.. Shout-out to JD.. Playboy.

"All Over My Fu*kin Pants!!"

A viral video with a twist. Nune & Shade Sheist celebrate their last night in Japan with members of World Mix Entertainment.

All-Black EveryKING.

I see Snakebites in Miami's future.

The RETURN.

LOS ANGELES/2SPR/ – Platinum songwriters from the West, N.U.N.E. and Shade Sheist, have once again fused their respective musical styles to produce a new project, this time a collaborative group lp titled “Movin Units.”

These two artists are no strangers to penning hits together, they began their collaborative efforts during the recording of Shade Sheist’s debut album “Informal Introduction,” which spawned the #1 Billboard single “Where I Wanna Be” featuring Nate Dogg and Kurupt. The new album “Movin Units” marks the return of PYO’s (Put Yourself Out Entertainment) own creators, the founders of the original “Grand Theft Audio” project series and the producers who virtually patented the medium now known as the “Street Album” and “Worldtape.” Collectively they are known as ‘N.U.N.E. and Shade Sheist’ and their new single “Movin’ Like A Boss” is available now at all digital retailers worldwide.

The recently released “Movin Units” album features 16 quality tracks that range from hardcore uptempo funk to smooth California grooves. Artist features include original West Coast crooner Domino and RedRum781 of “Bangin on Wax” fame. The project also showcases a new smoker’s anthem “SUCPIYC,” with a comedic viral video currently streaming on YouTube.

“Movin Units” is available now at www.putyourselfout.net, as well as all digital retailers worldwide.
